I’m counting down the days until I can travel and enjoy this holiday season at a beach. But then I was thinking here, how can I take the treasure of my life along with me on the trip?

So, here are some tips to avoid nasty surprises when packing.

Wrap all items tightly:

The first important step is to ensure that everything arrives in one piece. So, the best thing to do is to wrap breakable or fragile items such as pitchers and bowls tightly with bubble wrap. Tell me, Zomo: what if I don’t have any bubble wrap around? Well, then wrap the items tightly using towels. Make sure the towels are fluffy enough to avoid nasty surprises. Remember that these items can be carried in your hand luggage.

Pack sharp items separately:

Sharp items should be wrapped and checked-in. No way you’ll carry those in your hand luggage, got that?! Items such as a handle, foil poker, and fork can be considered dangerous. If you carry them in your backpack or handbag, you won’t get through security check and they may be confiscated.

Do not take charcoal:

Charcoal is strictly forbidden on a plane in your carry-on or checked baggage. So, get the charcoal you need at your destination.

What about my lighter:

You can take your lighter with you as long as it is well wrapped and inside the checked baggage as well. We don’t want any problems, do we?

Make sure the pack of your favorite flavors is properly sealed:

The packs of flavor must be sealed in 50g boxes. The same applies to aluminum foil. Those items can be in your carry-on or checked baggage, but play safe and double bag them. You don’t’ want to get to your destination only to find out that all of your clothes are covered in stains, molasses, and juice. Oh and remember you can carry up to 250g, that is, 5 boxes of 50g.
